The Donner Party were brilliant in an extremely nonchalant way. Now, of course, Sam is famous as one half of Quasi, and most people know Melanie from her stints in the Cat Heads, SF Seals, and Harm Farm. Reinhold should also be acknowledged: a very nice, soft-spoken and exceptionally talented guy, he wrote most of the band's instrumental numbers.
